A simple little update on what's going on in the author's life :
  1. I am still serving the nation and there's about... 10 more months to go? (;
  2. Still doing the same vocation as ever and I really don't think there will be any changes to it.
  3. Receiving lots of favour and grace! Illogical things happenned for my favour. Amazing? :)
  4. Realised that life is indeed really precious and we should really live life to the fullest of it - By having Him in your life to lead you the way.
  5. Been writing songs again lately. Love it.
  6. A guitar to accompany me w it.
  7. Celebrated 1 good friend's birthday. 2 more to go.
  8. Making use of my ever precious free time to read the bible. Love it!
  9. Began reading the bible every night before I sleep. Love it also!
  10. Began to partake of the holy communion daily. Life has never been the same.
  11. Still loving God.
  12. Still love Him.
  13. Still.

Perspective.

Use to really dislike these afternoon shifts work system. So much so that I've always been trying to change my shift away, as much as I could so that I can just be like the usual working people who starts at 8 and end at 5.30pm each day.

But boy oh boy, God can really change perspective huh?

I no longer dislike these shifts. Yes, I would STILL prefer normal working hours over this whole afternoon shift work system. But hey, I remember something that someone said to me back then when I was complaining, that really spoke to me.

"Enjoy your mornings, man. How many in the world can actually wake up, smile, do a little something and yet make a contribution?"

I like that. :-)

I choose to see this as a system where God wants me to have MORE than sufficient sleep, since I now get to wake up anytime after 10am and STILL get to do little something thereafter.

I choose to see this situation as victorious because CHRIST has overcome the grave. So have I!

Hope never disappoint. Lets never forget that.

Today's daily devo.

I like today's daily devotional.

Ephesians 6:17
17And take the helmet of salvation…

When the phone rings at odd times, most people think, “Oh dear, it must be bad news.” They don’t think, “I wonder what the good news is that it cannot wait till morning!”

When we hear, “The boss wants to see you,” instinctively, we think, “Oh dear, this is not good.” But how do we know that it is not going to be about a promotion?

Our minds are inclined toward the negative. So to guard our minds against negative thoughts, we are to put on “the helmet of salvation”, which is “the hope of salvation”. (1 Thessalonians 5:8)

If you are going through a trial right now, putting on as a helmet the hope of salvation means that you have a confident expectation of good coming your way. It means that you choose to believe that this trial that you are going through is only temporary because God will see you through it. It means that you believe that this difficult period will end with your salvation — your preservation, wholeness, wellness, health and prosperity!

You may not know what is going to happen this week. But one thing you can do is to put on the helmet of the hope of salvation and tell yourself that you are going to have a fantastic week!

“Well, you know, Pastor Prince, you never know what to expect. We hear so much bad news these days — another flu outbreak, another company retrenching its workers… I really hope that I will not be retrenched next. But I cannot be sure. I am keeping my fingers crossed.”

No, my friend, biblical hope is not “I hope so” but “I know so”! You can have a confident expectation of good happening to you because you are not like the people of the world. You are a child of the living God. You have a Savior watching over you. There are more angels given charge over you than there are demons against you. And greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) There is every reason for you to have a confident expectation of good happening to you!

Lets ALL have that confident expectation of GOOD yeah. Our Hope is a hope that will NEVER disappoint. When all else fails, Hope doesn't. :)

Amen.

Romans 828

Nowadays I tumblr more than i blogger. Hah.

In any case, lets ALL learn to embrace Romans 828 daily. For it shall always prevail. Always. Never once it will compromise.

Circumstances may appear to be winning, but I tell you. The Lord is FAITHFUL. He shall ensure that Romans 828 endures forevermore. :)
